A few things...We just bought our tickets yesterday and are very excited to go. :Pinkbounc :earboy2: :rotfl: We will be there from Oct. 16-22. It is just two big kids of 37 years young. :cool1: So, what will be some good ideas for costumes? My hubby is 6'6" and he's not too excited about dressing up but maybe a halloween t-shirt of some kind. Do they sell halloween t-shirts, etc. in the Disney Stores and we can buy some before we get down there?

What is the party like? We so love Halloween and kinda thought this is really for kids but still decided to go. pirate: What is the weather like in October? :umbrella:

It is like nothing you have ever seen... whole families dressed as 'character groups' (ex. Snow White, Evil Queen, Prince Charming, etc.), and some of the most elaborate costumes you have ever seen!

My SIL dressed as the Evil Queen and had an absolute blast 'glaring' at all the Snow White's she encountered!

The weather is very nice (70's) and it's a lot of fun.

Even if you don't dress up... the people/costume watching is great.

Also - the special parade & fireworks are not to be missed!

Can someone please tell me when the halloween festivities start? Is it just the day of halloween or a period before that?
Thank you in advance for any info...

I was told by the Disney rep. on the phone when I called to buy tickets for Oct. 16th that the party starts at 7:00 p.m. and lasts until 12:00. She also said that they were letting people in the park around 4-5 before it started. HMM? Any thoughts? Do they let you in early? Can you roam around the park until 7:00. Is this party in only one section of the park and you cannot go to the rest of the park? :confused3

Sorry for all the questions, but never been and really don't know what to expect. :confused3

We are also going 10/16. We went last year and they started letting people in the park with the MNSSHP tickets at 4pm. The park stays open until 6pm (general public). The MNSSHP starts at 7pm. We have made dinner ressies both last ans this year at LTT at 6pm then once we are through eating we just enter into the party. I think it's best to be in the park ahead of time. Better then waiting in the lines out front. We did the river cruise, haunted mansion and got our free photos by 7:30pm it was great we had a little head start.. If you plan on eating in the parks try to get ressies asap our they will be booked.

check out the homemade T-shirt Thread, it is a sticky on the Theme Park Forum. There are some really nice T-shirt designs for MNSSHP on there.
