Does anyone know when Mickeys Halloween Party is starting next year? Is there a calendar anywhere?

No one knows just yet. It's too early for that sort of info to come out.

If there were not going to be a 60th anniversary in Disneyland next year, I would say that the likely MHP start date (based on patterns) would be Friday, 9/25.

However, there are a lot of question marks about next year's MHP. First, there is no telling how the events of Disneyland's 60th anniversary may affect the MHP's schedule. Presumably, most of the 60th's events will take place in Disneyland park -- but the MHP has taken place in Disneyland for the past 5 Halloween seasons.

Second, there is a rumor -- it is only a rumor and has not been confirmed -- that the MHP could possibly be moving back to California Adventure next year. It hasn't taken place in DCA since 2009. Personally, I think that there is a good chance of this DCA scenario playing out, because if we were to have another 14 (or more) nights of the MHP in Disneyland, then that would be 14 or more nights that Disney would not be able to run its brand new nighttime parade and rumored new fireworks for the 60th anniversary.

Also, there has been a rumor that more MHP nights will be added to the line-up, and that the MHP would start right around the time Halloween Time (the season) usually begins in mid-September.

So there will be a lot of mysteries surrounding the 2015 Halloween season and the MHP until we find out more about the schedule of events for the 60th anniversary, which probably won't be for quite a while. I have a hard time thinking that Disney would spend money on a new nighttime parade and a new fireworks show and not want to run them all year long, even through Halloween Time and the holiday season. Having the Halloween party in Disneyland would only interrupt those events.

Stay tuned to our Halloween Time at DLR Superthread, where we will break news, discuss rumors and chat about any Halloween Time details or Mickey's Halloween Party developments as they come in. You can find the Superthread HERE. Also, there is lots of good info on page 1 of the Superthread.

Thanks so much!! We are trying to decide between a end of August or end of September trip but were thinking we might be able to throw a Halloween party in if we did September but worried about crowds.

The crowds are not at their worst in September (the worst crowds would be right about now!), but they are definitely more substantial than they used to be several years ago.

If the rumors turn out to have some merit, and the MHP moves back to California Adventure -- even temporarily (just for 2015) -- then Disney would have to actually add some traces of Halloween back into DCA. Almost all traces of Halloween have been missing from DCA since 2010 and beyond. Disneyland is where the main Halloween Time focus has been for the last 5 Halloween seasons. So if a bit of Halloween appears in DCA once again, and the MHP takes place there next year, it may pull some people out of Disneyland and the crowds may spread out a bit more so they aren't as concentrated in certain areas.

But, again, there is no telling what will be happening in terms of the 60th anniversary events, and how many people it will bring to the parks. Aside from the new parade, rumored new fireworks and new Castle lighting show, there could be any number of pop-up/limited events happening throughout the year -- and some of them may be season-specific. So the crowds are a question mark too!

If I were to guess, I would say that DLR will be starting their Mickey's Halloween Parties earlier this year. This past Halloween season, they were extremely successful and, like Sherry said, the rumor is that more will be added to the schedule in 2015. :goodvibes
