Mickeys Halloween Party just for kids?

The DH and I are making our first trip to the World in October this year--picked October because the Food & Wine festival sounded like fun. As we've been trolling message boards and websites for ideas of what to do while we're down there, we came across info about Mickey's Halloween party. We're young adults with no children, but Halloween is one of our favorite holidays...so we were wondering if any other childless adults have been to past Halloween parties, and if so, did you enjoy it? What is it like? (being surrounded by tons of happy kids in Halloween costumes sounds like a lot of fun in and of itself, but it'd be hard for us to justify the price tag just for that). Thanks!

My DH and I go every year with our adult friends. It's so much fun! Definitely not
just for kids. You can dress up (more than half of the adults do) and you can trick-or
treat too!

I loved the Halloween Party! I was solo, and had a fantastic time. Adults are invited to trick or treat, and I came home with a tonne of chocolate, there are lots of characters about, and it's a great opportunity to ride everything in the dark with not much of a wait!

And like you said, seeing all the little ones in costume is so much fun! But don't miss out on dressing up yourself, I was worried about looking silly (I was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz), but am so glad I wore a costume, I got so much attention, and it started off so many conversations!

You will love it!!! Here is DH & I last year. It was our first time ever. If it weren't for a famiy cruise we're taking in Sept we'd be there again.

We went on Halloween so it was really crowed in the streets but even with that everything moved smoothly & there were no long lines on the rides.
The Boo to you parade is sooooo great. It is really worth the time & money.

When I planned the very first visit (way to late in my life, but that is another story), I made sure I would be there during Halloween. Now I have been three times, one without my boy and I still loved it (got the candy, the picture, watched the parade and fireworks, etc...)
I will not be there this year (I am sad), but am planning to be there next year, again during Halloween. I Love Halloween... (not just the Disney one)

No way is it just for kids! I just have to say that MNSSHP is my favorite thing at WDW. We have been 3 years in a row, and I have made no secrets about it to DH that we WILL go every Oct. no matter what. (I love the F&W Festival too!) Actually, we went twice last year. There are wonderful things at this party that you can ONLY see at the party (unlike the Christmas party. They have the same events from the party the whole week of Christmas for all guests.) They have special lighting and sound effects and songs throughout the park all night. They have the new Halloween parade and fireworks show which are both AMAZING and FUN. They have special Villian shows in front of the castle which is hilarious and times throughout the night to meet and greet the villians. They have trick or treating around the whole park, and most rides open and empty (even on sold out party nights we have walked on rides like BTMR and ridden several times in a row without getting off). They have costume contests and dance parties, and all the kids (and some adults) are all dressed up and cute. Plus, there are characters EVERYWHERE and very RARE characters a lot too. It's just one of my favorite things...so special and different. And it's just DH and me...no kids. Lots of fun!
