Hi All,
If anyone from the board was at Mickey's Halloween Party on Friday night (10/22) and you took pictures of the construction workers with the traffic cone, I would love to get copies of them.

I had no idea my son's costume would attract so much attention. We had so many people ask to take his picture. So if any of you are reading this board, thank you so much for the compliments that night. DS loved all the attention!! And if you have any pictures of him (either walking around or in the parade), could you please post them or PM me so I can provide you with my email address.
TIA!!!

I do have one pretty dark shot from the parade =)

Ohhh, thank you so much!! Yep, that's us! Although it was hard to tell what DS was when he was sitting in the car, LOL. I had no idea one little traffic cone could attract so much attention

We had so many nice comments that night from the other guests (and many asking to take his picture). And he just soaked up the attention, LOL. Now DH and the kids are already trying to come up with our costume theme for next year :rotfl:

Also - I suggested this to you over in the Halloween thread, where the bulk of the Halloween photos are - if you haven't already, look at the Table of Contents on Page 1, Post #2 of that thread. Scroll down to "Party Pictures," and you will see that some folks have posted photos of the Cavalcade which are buried in the thread. There are links next to each listing so you don't have to search for them.

Thanks - I just checked the other thread but didn't see too much posted from Friday night yet. I'll keep checking though :)

Yeh. We were standing in line for candy just behind Thunder Mountain when we heard one of the cast member say something to the effect, "Oh my goodness, look at that costume!" All heads turned to check out the walking orange traffic cone. My husband noted out loud how is he going to enjoy any rides. And the cast member then said, "his father must be on a road crew." But everyone thought it a great costume! :thumbsup2 :)

Thanks :) Yeah, we didn't ride any rides that night but we went back the next day for that ;) DS was only able to hang in there with the costume until about 9:30 and then DH ended up carrying it around, LOL. But it was a long day for the kids (up for school at 6:30 am, then all day at school, etc). He was a very good sport about it. And to think we almost didn't use the costume because we were worried about him getting through the crowds. It was actually DS that convinced us to go ahead with it. His exact words were "you guys put so much effort into making it...that I think I should wear it." So what a great reward for him to get to ride in the parade. He is still talking about it, LOL.

Oh, and yes, DH does work for one of the the local cities, LOL. So that is pretty much what he looks like when he has to be out on the road, minus the hard hat (he is a heavy equipment operator) :)

Just bumping this up in case anyone is just getting back to the boards after their trip to DLR :yay:

Aww...so that was you guys on Main Street by the Walt statue! I totally wanted to take a picture but we were rushing to see the villains. Sorry I'm not helpful but I just wanna say that your son was super adorable :thumbsup2

Thanks so much :) He is excited to wear it again for his costume parade at school tomorrow. DH promised to dress up again and I will be dressed up too (we do costumes at my work too) so people will get the see the theme.

I think he is going to stick with just being a construction worker for Halloween night though. It would be too hard to get the traffic cone up to people's front doors to trick-or-treat :rotfl:
