Mickey's Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my pal, Mickey Mouse! Me and Mickey have alot in common. We both love to see others laugh and play, we love children and all of their games and-best of all-we share a birthday!

Does anyone know if DCL does anything special onboard on November 18th? It is my plan to cruise for our birthday in about 3 years. ( I am getting way ahead of myself, as usual). I have always wanted to know if they observed this day in any way.

I do not believe that they would even realize that it is Mickey's b'day unless you had a very enthusiastic CM onboard who knew.

I brought cake into work today to celebrate Mickey's birthday (I do every year) and I still get strange looks!!!

Oh, you are going to have a great time! They do celebrate Mickeys Birthday and celebrate BIG!! We cruised 4 nights on Mickeys birthday in 2002 and what fun we had!!! They presented a plaque to him one night at dinner. And, they had an awesome Birthday party with music and dancing even birthday cake! Our kids had such a fun time, it was endescribable... I hope your family has a fantastic cruise!

Well....I stand corrected!!!! I have been sailing DCL since day one and never heard of them celebrating before....glad they do!!! Sorry for the wrong info in my earlier post!!!

You know you've lost it when you have a Mickey Birthday banner hanging, made a Mickey head cake and served the kids Mickey waffles on Mickey plates with Mickey silverware and cups for dinner. Funny thing is they didn't even blink an eye. This to them is normal....poor kids!

I think what the orginal poster may have been talking about was his 75th birthday. That was celebrated park wide. Otherwise I have not heard of anything major besides like a special pin.

On the 11/15 eastern last year they DEFINITELY knew that it was Mickey's birthday! There was a really nice birthday cake at the entrance to the restraunt. They had a huge birthday card in the atrium all day for guests to sign and that was presented to Mickey as a "surprise" that night at the Tropical deck party.
