Just wondering if anyone ever attended Mickey's Backyard BBQ at the Wilderness Lodge. We are thinking of attending but just found out that it requires 2 TS on the DDP basic plan. So I was wondering if it is worth 2 meals and what kind of activities are there. Thanks, ;)

Actually it is not at the Wilderness lodge. It is at Fort Wilderness so you need to make sure you plan plenty of time to get there. Some people love it and some people dont. It was ok. We had a front row seat at the pinic table but it was so crazy with kids that it was hard to get time with the characters.

Thanks - what kind of food do they serve? Is it worth 2 meals? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Thanks for your help :) :) :)

LUV it- however, when I went the cash cost was only $34 so I paid cash for that meal and used my DDP credits for the luau (which is 2 credits). So, economically, it's not really worth the 2 credits but for the 'fun' factor it was great. Both times I went I had a group that included children and they had a blast dancing with the characters. It is open seating outdoors (covered) so it can get HOT depending on when you go. I went once in May it was very pleasant, when we went in August it was very hot, but so was everything else.

As for the food it's buffet and they had:
a great tossed salad
cole slaw
potato salad
baked beans
hamburgers
hot dogs
roasted chicken
ribs
roasted potatos
watermellon
mickey ice cream bars
those really big multi colored popcycles

I think the 2 year old ate about 5 popcycles.

We went a couple of years ago. My kids had a great time. They got to Dance with Mickey and Minnie. The food is typical BBQ stuff. Mac and cheese hot dogs. If I remember correctly they did have bbq ribs and chicken. I am not sure about now but we had wine and beer included in our price. :goodvibes

Funny, last night we just thinking about maybe trying the Mickey's BBQ on our next trip. We have been on a Character meal kick lately, trying the different meals.

My DD had a lot of fun.....

It is one of the cheapest 2 TS meals.....so if you want to do
hoop de doo...or luao....save your credits for that and pay OOp for bbq
I know they do it on Thurs....not sure what other days
