Does anyone have any pics to share of their daughters haircut at Mickey's Barber shop? TIA:flower3:

Will definitely visit the barber shop again. Be sure to make reservations.

they will cut your daughter's hair any style you want them to. If you don't want it cut, they will put colors and pixie dust glitter, then spray it all to help it stay in. With my girls they put 3 or 4 stripes on each side at the top of their head, then sprinkled the pixie dust all over the top, like they did in the pictures above. My son's have had Mickey heads of various colors drawn on the back or sides of their heads, which I guess you could do with a girl who had very short hair, then had the hair on top spiked with color gels and pixie dust on top of the colors. Hope this makes sense, I don't have any pictures handy to post.

Thanks! I read somewhere you make reservations through the dining number. Is that right?

Also my son just got his hair cut but I know he will want some decorations. I know I would have to pay.. but do I need another appt or could they just spray during her appt? Thanks for any info!

I would make two appointments. They were very busy the day we went.

We got DD10's hair done last summer. She just got a trim and then got the colour and pixie dust. The pixie dust is included in the price of the cut but the colour's extra. She really didn't want a pony tail or bun so this is what they did for her.

ETA: Looking at the pictures, I realize that our barber looks kind of crabby but there's context. He was trying to mess with DD13 at the time. He was looking at the pink hair colour like there was something wrong with it so she'd come close to check it out and he put some on her nose. He really was a happy and friendly guy.

Just wondering if this is something new as it was all inclusive when my daughter had her hair cut there. The color did not cost us extra and she had 2 colors in her hair. She had pink and purple in her hair. Can't wait to go back and do it again.

Sorry, can't post pictures but it turned out so cute and was well worth it. We had a lady from Jamaica and she was great.

I believe they started charging extra for the colour last spring or early summer. I believe I had read about that maybe a month before our trip. I have no idea if they're still doing this or not. This is just how it was last summer when we were there.

My daughter had her first haircut there last year in March. We are headed back in ten days....and she will be getting her second haircut there. I told DH that we are going to have to go to Disney World more often than once a year to keep her hair looking nice! hehe

what is the name of the other place at WDW that cuts hair?

The Harmony Barber shop is the Barber shop mentioned in this thread. Its on Main St at the MK. There is also the Bibbity bobbidi boutique, and they do NOT cut hair, only style it ,generally according to which makeover pkg you choose. There are other hair salons at some of the deluxe resorts. Here is some info on the Barber shop

Two of the three hair cutters there (including the guy in the pics above who is VERY much NOT cranky, lol) have been there for like 25+ years. I think that guy is going on 30!

Only a boy for me (so no girl pics), but they're great there!

Thanks all 2 reservations for next week. Woo Hoo!:thumbsup2

We loved Rex. He was great w/ DD who was only 16 months. If her bangs look too short, that's my fault, I asked him to shorten them more.
