Can someone tell me a little bit about this? I think this is something we are going to plan to do if we can.

Thanks

We did it last year with daughter and family. A big, open sided pole barn full of tables. Food is buffet style with several food tables for easier access. Entertainment is a live band, singer, and some characters. Usual sing along type stuff for the kids and us big kids.

The kids get to dance up front with the characters in front of the band. Food was OK ... not great.

We did it once and it was fun, but not really interested in doing again.

John,
What charecters were there? Was it very expensive and would you do it again?

Thanks

We did it a couple of years ago and we thought it was a hoot. There was also a lot of corny jokes and a trick rope guy who was really good. The characters who were there our night were Chip and Dale, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. If you have little kids, I think it is worth it to do at least once. It was pricey, but not Hoop De Doo pricey and considering it was all you can eat and drink and an evening of entertainment, I think it wasn't too bad.

My daughter made the ressies so I don't know what it cost. Easy to find out however by calling. I don't remember her saying it was out of line (for Disney).

Like I said, I would not care to do it again, but I am sure the kids would. I would recommend you try it.

We have done hoop-de-doo three times so I don't mind experiencing some dinner/shows more than once. just didn't get real exited about the BBQ.

If I remember, the characters were:

Goofy
Mickey and Mickey (cowboy and cowgirl)
Another I can't remember

Again, the kids will love it, especially the dance up front with the characters. We left a little early so we might have missed something.

DH and I did this to celebrate our anniversary last August. The adult price is just under $40, $10 cheaper than the H-D-D. We enjoyed the all-you-can drink beer and wine. The buffet is similar to the H-D-D menu, with ribs and chicken, but alas no strawberry shortcake.

We fooled around with learning some country line dancing, and especially enjoyed a dance for couples celebrating something. Birthdays were also announced.

I have read that it's hard for people with little ones in strollers to negotiate the buffet tables and find places to eat. Since it was just the two of us adults, that didn't trouble us.

We had 2 girls with us, one pre-teen, the other 18. They enjoyed the dancing lessons, and the younger one really enjoyed getting autographs. The watermelon was delicious!
If we ever bring young guests with us to WDW again, we would definitely do this again. We've done HDDR too many times for it to be fun anymore. This was fresh!
