thinking about doing this in may when we go wondered is it worth it and can anyone desvcribe in detail thanks dismemaw:wave:

It depends if character interaction is a priority for you. We were there 2 weeks ago, and it was worth it for the amount of time my daughter got to spend with Mivkey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip & Dale. If you don't care that much for seeing the characters, I would avoid it.

You arrive at the site near River Country and your family can take a group photo (available to buy later). Then, as you present your ticket, you are asked to line up and grab a tray. You go through a buffet line as you enter. A drawback is that you must leave strollers outside the "tent" so if you are carrying a child or two and hauling a diaper bag and camera, it's a bit tough to make a plate for yourself and the kids. When you get inside, you then seek out a spot to sit at a picnic table. Food includes hot dogs, chicken, ribs, mac & cheese, potato salad, cole slaw, corn on cob, watermelon, cake. Drinks are lemonade, tea, wine, beer, milk, coffee. You can go back for food as much as you'd like.

The whole time (except for some short breaks) a country band is playing and someone gives instructions for certain dances. The characters dressed in western garb remain on the dance floor for much of the evening. The kids can dance with characters, take photos, and sign autographs though they don't line up with the books. It's more like they sign if they have a moment on the dance floor. My daughter had a blast and loved dancing and hugging the characters. However, the food is mediocre and not worth the money. My daughter is 4 so we had to buy her a ticket but she ate only a few bites of mac & cheese. Still, you are also paying for entertainment, and you get a lot. The band is lively and fun, even if your favorite music isn't country. There is aso a trick roper.

One caveat - if it is hot and sticky you won't get much relief here. The area is a covered tent like building, so no a/c. Also, the restrooms are a little walk away.
