We were just there a few days ago on Christmas Eve for dinner and we did not have priority seating. A cast member was telling everyone where to sit and our seats were to the right of the stage and at the very end of the long table away from the stage (better for us because we had a child in a high chair.) We could see fine and had better access to the characters dancing/taking pictures on that side. I didn't feel that seating was chaotic at all and the cast members seemed very helpful.
