What do you think?

We did HDDR this year and thought it was fantastic.

Just booked to return in 2010 on DxDP and think we may make the most of the opportunity and do either HDDR and Luau or HDDR and Mickeys' BBQ.

Are my children too old to enjoy it? Is it a good night or one to be missed and which characters appear?

Thanks

The BBQ wasn't at all what we expected. As far as kids liking it, dancing with the characters would be fun for little ones, but at 11 our DD was too old for it. You wait in line for picnic style food and hope you can find a table (picnic tables pushed together in long rows). Then the music started and it was so loud we left after an hour, we weren't the only ones...several others left early due to the noise level. HDDR and SOA we LOVED!!!

Love LOVE HDDR, done it twice. :thumbsup2

Will NEVER go to the BBQ again, it was awful! :headache:

My then 2-year old LOVED Mickey's BBQ. We'd definitely do it again. Dancing with the characters was awesome. She still talks about it more than a year later.

Same here, except that we have done HDDR four times so far. DD was almost 5 when we did the BBQ and none of us wants to return. It was nothing short of chaotic, plus it's outside so it was very hot when we went (September). We left early, at DD's request.
