We went last month with 5 kids on the dining plan. The food was ok. We did appreciate the Mickey ice creams were all you can eat as well! As for the show, I found it to be slightly longer than I would have liked. My children are 12, 7, 4, & 1 plus my 5 year old nephew was with us. I found that the two oldest lost interest in the show about 30 minutes into it, whereas the other kids loved the dancing and the "roping". They could not get enough of the characters, and the characters made every effort to dance with all the kids around them. It was a bit chaotic, but then again I am used to that with 4 kids at home! I would do it again on the dining plan, but not paying OOP. I liked the food and the show of the HDDR better, but don't have anything really negative to say about Mickey's BBQ either! It is just a defferent experience than the HDDR.
