Hi folks!

Who's done the BY BBQ? What were your thoughts? How did it compare to other dinner shows?

We've booked for October and the price includes the beer:drinking1 , so I'm happy with that:thumbsup2

I did it when I was 6 and I loved it back then, I thought it was really fun and a proper laugh I wanted to fit it in this trip but didnt really have the time to fit it in.

We did this last year, the food was ok,the beer and wine was good :thumbsup2 , but our girls aged 12 and 10 were a bit too old for the fun the younger ones were having. Would'nt do it unless i had kids under 8.

People either love this or hate it. We were bored. I think we were mis-sold this as we expected more of a show but it was very much something to join in. There was line dancing which I tried to join in but I am so uncoordinated I gave up. The people that seem to enjoy it most are those in larger groups (there were just 4 of us.)

There was plenty of character interaction with Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale.

The food was OK, but it did worry me that it sat in the open air attracting flies. There were plenty of soft drinks - I think there was also beer but we don't drink much so I can't be sure.

We tried to leave early but were at the mercy of the Fort Wilderness busses which didn't arrive until the BBQ ended.

ETA My kids were 4 and 7 at the time and didn't really enjoy it.

We (me + DW and DS(11)) did it last year too. It's the sitting at the top of our table of things not to bother doing again, tied at number one with Ohana, and the Spirit of Aloha Show. I'm sure others will have enjoyed all of those things - we didn't.

We left early - it was just too noisy for us (I think we were all a little tired). Got the boat back to the Magic Kingdom and the bus to our resort from there. The best bit of the evening was sitting on the dock waiting for the boat, enjoying the peace and listening to the wildlife noises [rather an anti-climax to find that the wildlife is piped in].

We went last year, and absolutely hated it, my DD6 quite enjoyed it but the rest of us were bored to tears and couldn't wait to leave. The food isn't good, the music was awful, but there was lots of character interaction. We did however love Ohana, the food was much better as was the entertainment :)
