Mickey's Backyard BBQ????

I really thought my DS4 would like Mickeys Backyard BBQ, but I've read mixed reports about it, and was wondering what you all thought??

I've heard that because of the free alcohol, it can get too rowdy for the small kids and also that the queue for food is too long and not that great.

The idea of line dancing with the characters sounded really good, but I just wondered if the reality lived up to the expectation???

At the moment I think I am going to opt for the Whispering Canyon Cafe, as the waitresses sound hilarious - would this be a better option????

We went to the BBQ a couple of years ago, and we all enjoyed it very much. I certainly didn't see anyone the worse for drink, (I watched through a lovely mellow Zinfandel haze). No but honestly it was very much a family affair. The food was as good a s BBQ food can be, with mac n cheese thrown in. my boys really enjoyed the cowboy lasso demonstration, and we all enjoyed a dance.
It was finished early enough that little ones arent too tired, and dd also got a dance with goofy. It was one of our trip highlights.

They are very differnet experiences. We didn't really enjoy the BBQ but certainly didn't find it rowdy or anyone drunk. We loved Whispering Canyon Cafe which although it included a couple of games for the kids is just a themed restaurant not an entertainment.

we did the BBQ this aug.was one of our fav nights.The lines for the food die down in 5 mins and the beer is great.We were a party of 10 ages,6,11,12,14,18, and 5 addults.The americans arnt like us brits who drink to excess they would rather eat to excess.for the food we waited a few min befor getting ours for line to die down.Have done hoop and lahu and loved BBQ best

Thats why I get on so well with the Americans, give me food anyday.

We did BBQ but it was 14 years ago, great night. Did Hoop last year, loved that also.
