Mickey's Backyard BBQ and Hoop Dee Doo: worth it?

My father (doesn't really speak English) and my husband (English is his second language) will be visiting WDW before our DCL trip with my sister and her family. They have reserved seats at Mickey's Backyard BBQ ande Hoop-Dee-Doo. The pricing is a bit high for us to just go and eat (they also don't eat a lot) and watch my nephews. So, is it really worth it for two non-English speakers to go to both? Or only one? Or none? We will be seeing a LOT of my sister's family during our two week vacation so spending time isn't a concern. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

We LOVE Hoop de Doo. I think the atmosphere and show can be enjoyed even if English is not one's first language.
Mickey's Backyard BBQ on the othere hand, I didn't really enjoy. However it was August and I was 7 months pregnant..lol. I don't remember much of a show but a lot of dancing.

English is my primary language so I can't say for certain which would be best in this situation.

We've also done both, and prefer HDD. I think it would be funny even if you don't understand the language completely . The humor is often physical, sort of slap-stick, so still enjoyable. And MBYBBQ does have a lot of dancing, so maybe still fun. But if I had a choice of where to take my limited-English speaking friend or fam member, I'd go with HDD.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. We have done both and really enjoyed them both. Have a great trip!
