Will 4 adults and no children enjoy Mickey's backyard
Barbeque? We'll be at the Fort and don't want to feel like
we've missed anything!

Have not done it, but all reports indicate the entertainment at this event is skewed toward young children.

Which is why I've never done it.

Our Ratings of Mickey's BBQ: (rev 1/5/11)
. . . food price value: D
. . . food quality: C-
. . . food quantity per serving: B
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C-
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: D
. . . eatery atmosphere: C
. . . eatery convenience: C
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff helpfulness: B
. . . character interaction: C+

NOTE: Tables are long picnic tables of about 40 people
per table, so you sit with other families. No reserved seating,
so the "mad dash" for seats can be interesting. There is no
"front row", just the end of the picnic tables. Folks start lining up
about 1-hr prior to the 5:30pm seating. Also, characters are there
for dancing and front interaction, and *usually* do not go thru tables,
so sometimes there is a long line trying to get to the charcters. It
should also be noted that the sides are open to the weather. They
can put up some plastic wind diverters, but it does get cold.

Thank you for posting this, I was going to make a reservation but your post changed my mind.

I would pass. We did this last fall and I thought it was really cute and fun...if you are 4.

You have to be a kid who gets up and dances with characters or this is not for you. The food is only fair. The price you are paying is for the ability to mob characters on the dance floor. My 7 year old said she would never do this again because it was for babies.

I would go for the HDDR, lots of sangria, beer and corny jokes. Great for Adults!

NOTE: HDDR is a fun, corny, lively show. The food is well
above average for comfort food. Good show for adults and
children alike.

Totally agree with this. My DD loves it too...she is 11 and in May we're headed back for our 3rd time. I asked her to pick between Hoop and O'hana and she picked Hoop (smart girl!) Can't wait!

The show and food are great and we have found it to be a real good time for adults as well as kids:dance3:

My DD7 picked it as her favorite place to eat in WDW. So, we will be going again in October. If it were just DH and I, we wouldn't be going.

Just go over to YouTube and search for "Mickey's Backyard BBQ".

There are plenty of videos there that will give you a good idea of what you're in for...

Um, I mean... What you can expect.
