We were there on a Friday night last year. I didn't think it was terribly crowded. They had so much candy they were giving out handfuls and the kids were going back to some stations more than once.

I am not that interested in candy, but I was wondering if the park would feel crowded. I would like to ride Tower of Terror, California Screamin', etc during the party. Do rides have long lines during the party? Are there long lines to see the charcters?

We are going Oct 3rd, which I would think would not be too busy, except for Gay Day weekend and now the Miley party that weekend.

Bumpping to get some insight..we too...are more interested in getting some 'ride time'...would be grateful for some insight on those that have went in the past.

I went last year, on the 1st thursday... and it was great tons of candy!!! But what i enjoyed most was there were lots of charecters with short lines and you could walk on to the rides!!! we did scream like 3-4 times with maybe a 2 train wait if that it was great!!! i'm gonna go around the same time next trip and am going to be going again!!!! I found it was the only time durning the trip we saw the charecters alot... but then my son was dressed as a monkey in all the pics

Are the characters also in Halloween Costumes? and How long were the lines for these characters?

No you can't. They close down early after everyone leaves and then reopen.

For the most part we found the lines for the rides to be very short. But some of the lines to take pictures with the characters were waaay long the night we were there, as were lines at some of the treat stations (although the treat lines moved really quickly) That may be a hit and miss thing depending on what time you hit a specific location though. And yes, the photopass photographers are out and about and most of the characters are in costume.

We will be there 10/3...Mommy Minnie with 2 girl Minnie's...the Dh and Ds don't want to dress-up...poo on them.
Maybe I can get them to color spray their hair or something!

Oh I am so glad someone asked about Photo Pass! I didn't realize they were out and about during the party. TOO COOL. It's been a year since our last photopass purchase and we are adding it to our "MUST" list for this trip.

(I upload all the pictures to winkflash and buy their photobooks for 19.99 during their sale, a great cheap trip souvenier).
