Mickey slide question

Oh no! One of my 3 year old girls LOVES water slides. As I was showing her the Mickey slide, I noticed it says they need to be 38 inches (She is 41.5 inches) AND 4 years old. Wrong for me to assume that because the Mickey pool is for up to 3 years old that a 3 year old could use it. (We sail 1 month before the girls turn 4). Is there another slide that I am missing that she could use? I understand why they have these policies in place; however, I need to start prepping her that she won't be able to go on the slide! The other twin- also over 38 inches, could take or leave the slides; however, the other girl is already an adrenaline junkie. (I won't even go on some of the slides she wants to, haha- dad has to take her!) I should clarify that we will be on the Wonder.

She will be fine to go on the slide. My son was two weeks shy of being 4 and no one said a thing. They were not checking ages (that was the fantasy). I think you if you think she can follow instructions and wait her turn she should be fine to ride it.

I agree, she should be fine since she is over the height requirement. I know they check, because we were on the Wonder a few weeks ago and they checked to make sure my 11 year old was under 64 inches. He is just 64 inches so they let him go, but I was surprised when he told me they checked at the top.

The Mickey pool is not for up to 3 years old kids. I just looked it up on the DCL site and the info there is definitely wrong saying "children from 3 months to 3 years". Kids must be potty trained in order to use the Mickey pool, so most kids in that age range wouldn't be able to use it. The splash area is the place that is for children from 3 months to 3 years because the water is continually filtered due to them not being potty trained.

They don't let adults under the height requirement ride, however...much to the dismay of this mom! lol

I hear you! I also was under the height requirement and couldn't ride down after my son. :( He is 5 1/2 and is around 40 inches and no one said a word. As long as they are good with the younger kids (ie not cutting, pushing, etc...) it will be fine.

We are going on the Dream in a couple weeks and I don't think DS will be able to ride the Aquaduck despite being 5 1/2 when there are probably big 3-4 yo kids that will be able to ride it. :( I'm very sad about that, he is a great swimmer and would love going on that with me.

Is your daughter potty trained? It is required to be able to use the pool and slide. It is a cruise industry law that Disney has to follow. If a child has an accident in the pool they have to drain the pool and scrub it down. This takes a few hours and the pool and slide can not be used during this time.

Oops I just saw that she is almost 4 years old so she probably is.

Yipeeee! My youngest twin is going to be very excited to hear this! :) Thanks for letting me know. I'm sorry to hear your 5 year old won't be able to ride the aquaduck. :(

Has anyone had a 3YO questioned or stopped from going despite meeting all requirements? My daughter will be just past 3 in December, already meets the height req, and is looking fwd to the slide. She is almost fully potty trained as the Mickey pool & slide have been incentive for her to master this.

Thanks!!

As long as she meets the height requirement she will be fine. We spent a lot of time on the Mickey slide and the only time they stopped someone is if they where not tall enough.

My daughter had just turned 3 when we went on our last cruise, I had NO idea the Mickeyslide had an age requirement. She probably rode it 25 times.:happytv:

I'm a little worried about the other end of the height requirement...I have a really tall 10 year old who would be super sad if she couldn't go down the slide with her siblings!

I think you will be okay as well. On their Kids club wristbands it has the childs age. All she would have to do is show her wristband that she is ten and it would be fine. From what I can tell they try to keep the older teens, adults, and really little ones off of it.

I am really hoping our youngest will be able to go down the slide too! She is turning 3 in August and is already 39 inches and full potty trained. She already looks like a 4 year old so I am hoping no one will ask!
