When I was working as a cm I seen a mickey shaped ring at the World of Disney and at the Store on Main St. I was wondering if anyone has a picture of it??
and knows the cost of it. it was gold and mickey shaped diamonds.
my dbf wants to buy it for me but he needs to know what it looks like. I can't stop talking about it.

The cost of the ring is between 10.00-20.00. I have one but I am sorry, I don't have any pictures.

I have this one from QVC...was it like this?

Gotta love the Q! :thumbsup2

THey have a whole line of Disney Diamonique jewelry that's pretty spiffy!

If you check the DFTW website for Tokyo Disney they have an online jewelry store that sells a lot of stuff similar to that but its all real. I think disney wedding bands and engagement rings are much more popular over there.

Bride-to-be do you have the link to the online store? I did a seach on the DFTW site but it just says "Original wedding rings available designed with Mickey's silhouette"

Thanks so much!

Sorry I forgot the entire thing was in Japanese :rotfl:

Why doesn't our US site offer the same things? They have some really pretty stuff. I used an online translater and managed to get diamond, platinum engagement rings out of it. They were like $1000 to $4000. But I would be terrified to try to buy it without knowing the lingo!

I was lucky enough to visit Tokyo Disney in December. It's a good thing I wasn't engaged at the time because I would've spent a fortune! The stuff on that website is just the beginning of it. That is stuff from the Disney Store (or catalog?) and doesn't even include all of the beautiful wedding merchandise they sell at the Parks and hotels. I looked at it all because I was shopping for a wedding gift. Tokyo Disney has not 1 but 3 wedding chapels-1 at each of their onsite hotels. The attention to detail at the Tokyo hotels and parks is amazing! If I had the $ my dream wedding would be at the Miracosta hotel, which is inside the DisneySea Park. After the wedding you can walk right outside and take a venetian gondola ride into the Park (I saw a bride doing this). Not sure if it is true or not but I once heard that it was the Japanese who were responsibe for/the inspiration for WDW's wedding department. Apparently a lot of them were coming over here and wanting to get married. I do know that WDW does a lot of weddings for Japanese couples and will even do a traditional Japanese ceremony. I wish the Japanese wedding items were available or could at least be ordered and shipped to America. They have everything from expensive jewelry and wedding dresses to wedding themed tins of cookies and chocolates with bride and groom Mickey and Minnie stamped on them. Many of the items are even available in 2 styles-traditional Japanese wedding and American wedding. I wish I could go over there before my wedding just to go shopping. If you ever have the opportunity to go to Tokyo Disney do not be scared off by the loooooong plane ride...it is so worth it!

I haven't been to Tokyo Disney since 2005 - I LOVED the miracosta!!!! Tokyo Disney Sea was awesome - I was kind of disappointed with the original park. We were there for three weeks. I swear we practically needed a seatainer going home! I thought about it briefly for our wedding but its - SOOOOO expensive. I mean a cup of coffee in Japan starts at $15 US. I liked Hong Kong sooo much more and thought it was a much better value - its still my first choice if I could get any of our guests to fly that far.

I agree with all of you that they should sell this stuff in the states. I mean in Hong Kong there is a jewelry store on main street that sells nothing but platinum engagement rings and solid gold castle statues. My dad's GF tried on a necklace and then as soon as she heard teh price started screaming "get it off me!"

Why can't we have the same merchandise here? I think they have so much over there because Asian people in general I think like to shop more and buy more -but if we had the same kind of stuff for sale here I think it would sell a lot better then a lot of the junk in the WDW shops now.

My best advice - find a friend who speaks japanese! If you can't find a friend go down to your local college and just ask for an email address for someone in the language department. Copy and paste.

I managed to find a website that was in English and gave a lot of info about a wedding at the Miracosta hotel. I won't post the link because it is a competitor's website but if you google "Tokyo DisneySea Hotel's Bridal Dream Preview" you should find it. It was a real interesting read for me...I was amazed at how much they spend on favors until I read how much guests give in gifts and I also found it interesting how they rent their outfits for their weddings.
I am so jealous that you got to spend 3 weeks in Japan! My trip was only 3 days and it only happened because I was actually headed to Hong Kong to meet DF for Christmas (he was working in HK for 2 months). I decided that since I was flying all the way to HK and all the airline's layovers were in Tokyo I was determined to make that layover as long as I could so I could see DisneySea.I've dreamed of seeing Mermaid Lagoon since it opened and figured this was my one and only chance to see it. I made the trip by myself, which was scary because I'd never been out of the country and didn't know a word of Japanese. I do have a Japanese friend and she did spend a day and a half at Disney with me but her English is very limited. 3 days wasn't nearly enough and if I ever win the lottery the first thing I'm doing is planning a return trip!
I had 2 weeks to explore Hong Kong Disneyland so I know exactly which store you are talking about. I explored every nook and cranny of that place while DF was working. The Park is very cute and has a lot of potential but it is so small I had seen everything multiple times and was starting to get bored by day #4. I loved HK though and was amazed by their public transit and how easy and inexpensive it was to get around by myself. I don't remember seeing a wedding chapel at the HK hotels but a wedding in the Park would be beautiful. They did have a very nice selection of wedding merchandise-a lot more stuff than USA but not as much as Japan. Wish I'd thought to buy some of it but I wasn't engaged at the time.

OP , I also seen the same ring you are talking about at magic kingdom and DTD store a few years ago. I wanted to purchased last year and could not find it.I am hoping maybe this year they will have them. If i remember right it was around $1200.00 and really beautiful!
