We'll at two am last night, "Santa" put last of the stickers on the MMCH and set it all up. I pulled out the extra characters and accidentally mixed them up when I was arranging them. Now Donald seems to speak Daisy's lines in a very female voice, Goofy barks, and Pluto can talk. Am I missing something or are these characters not interchangeable?

P.S. The slide fell off three times...in fact, it never made it on I just put it back in the box- DD's didn't seem to notice this morning.

I wasn't able to get the extra characters, but we're having the same problem with the slide. The boot doesn't stay attached for long either and the drop down door is pretty flimsy. I have to say I'm very disappointed in the quality of this item, especially for the price. The boys love it, though.

Oh gracious!! I thought that I would be the only one!!! My characters seem to be speaking "their" lines. BUT the SUPER GLUE. . . yes I said SUPER GLUE. . should be dry in a sec because I GLUED the slide and the yellow "door" to the thing!!!!!! This is one of those things that I would not have thought DISNEY would have put its name on. This has got to be the most disappointing thing that I have bought from Disney. That said DD loves it. I was just tired of trying to get the slide and door to stay on.

:rotfl2: I laugh because I was thinking of using SUPER GLUE myself!

Question: On the drop down door on "Mickey's Head" - Is yours flimsy? And is it green on the inside? In the pictures on the box that drop down part is black on the inside...just wondering if mine is so flimsy because it's missing something?

I ended up getting DD the clubhouse too. DD loves it, but DH and I can't believe how poorly it is constructed. DH is an engineer and can't believe how horrible the design for the slide is. Ours won't even really fasten to the clubhouse. Maybe we'll do the super glue trick too.

Same boat here. The slide and yellow door/boot fall off constantly. I may be dragging out the super glue or hot glue gun myself! We didn't get any extra characters for the MMCH. Worth it or not? Would you look for them now or just keep Mickey?

I'll see if the boys are still as crazy about the MMCH next week, then I'll decide for sure. They played with it all day today, so I'm thinking I might get at least one set of the extra characters. They love the show so much, I think they would love the clubhouse no matter what.

I am probably returning ours tomorrow due to the slide boot. I think that it is terrible that it won't stay together. For 40 dollars she could have a much nicer toy. Good luck!

If my boys were younger I would likely return it as well, due to poor quality. But, at 3 y/o it would be difficult to explain why Santa's gift went back to the store. Plus, they really love the darn thing now & it would break their hearts. :sad1:

Lesson learned for next year: Take everything out of the boxes and really check it first, so I can make possible returns without breaking any little hearts.

Wow, I'm really glad I'm not the only one that wasn't able to get that stupid slide to even attach to the side. Ours didn't even get the chance to fall off because I couldn't get it attached in the first place.

I'm definitely sending an email to Disney about the poor quality of this product. I'm also going to be waiting to get the other figures until I see if my DD still pays any attention to it next week.

I'm very disappointed in this product.

I agree I'm having the same problem with ours. The slide and boot don't stay on and the figures don't usually talk when you put them on the platforms inside the house?? They usually speak with their correct voices except in the counting car. I'm a bit dissapointed with these items and I was dumb enough to over pay on Ebay for all the figures. Let me know if the superglue works for you. It's overpriced and DS loves mickey but he is not crazy about this house. He seems to like the car better.

Please post back and let me know if the super glue worked. I got my son the club house, all the figurines and the counting car. We pulled the mickey mouse clubhouse out of the box when he unwrapped it and checked it out a little. He seemed really excited about it. We were traveling around yesterday and he didn't really get a chance to play with any toys. I am going to be disappointed as well if we have the same problems everyone else seems to be have.

The super glue works. We have had this since August/September-ish and DH superglued the boot and slide and they stayed quite nicely.

The characters are interchangeable on the platforms. THey have little things on the bottom, and if you look, each character has a specific prong configuration that presses in a certain way on the platform. Ours speak each others lines sometimes too, you have to take them off and really press them down to get them to say their own lines.

My kids still love the CH....I think it could have been done better, too.

DD's grandmother bought four sets of characters and I would say that is not necessary. It is nice to have a Minnie and a Donald...they do walk them around (and then they all ride together with Dora and Diego in Dora's Van). So, if you find one set....it may be worth it for a child who really likes playing with it.
