Mickey Money?

I remember reading a thread somewhere about a partent giving their kids play mickey money for disney. This way the kids have a set amount they can spend for the trip. When they wanted something they gave the parents the amount in their mickey money and then the parents paid for the item.

My plan is to have my oldest earn his mickey money between now and our trip.

Can anyone tell me if there is somewhere to print some "Mickey" money?

Sounds like something a parent made on the computer. You might get more responses if you edit your title and change "Mikey" to "Mickey".

There are also official "Disney Dollars" you can purchase - many parents give their kids a certain amount for spending and it also works well.

Official Disney Dollars can be purchased at the disney store (not online). They are purchased dollar for dollar and if they get lost it is like losing real money. However, they are great fun for the kids! The Easter Bunny put them in plastic eggs for my kids' egg hunt last year. They loved it!

That is a great idea about the Easter Bunny leaving them in the eggs. We are probably going the week after Easter and my kids will love that!!

Just a little hint, the large eggs work best so the money doesn't get too squished. Large eggs had disney dollars, small eggs had candy. It was funny to watch the kids quickly learn which had the disney dollars and begin to search only for the larger eggs. We did have a bit of a hard time explaining why the eggs at Grandma's house didn't have any disney dollars though!
