It was another lazy morning with us not getting up until 8:15 then lazing around in the room until just before 10:00.

We wandered over to EPCOT and the first stop was Soarin' where we got fast passes with a return time of 12:48. There wasn’t much of a wait next door for Living With The Land so we went there next.

From there we went over to Ellen's Energy Adventure, which I always say I'm not going to bother doing again but I always go back to it because one of my strongest memories from our first trip is the way the theatre breaks down into ride vehicles.

After EEA we walked over to the Festival Center and had a look at the Festival merchandise then sat down for a glass of wine - Chardonnay for me and Moscato for Dad.

Next we walked round to Germany where we both had Nuernberger Sausage in a Pretzel Roll, which was nice, if a little small.

By now it was time to use our fast passes so we walked back round to Soarin' and went straight through to Concourse 2. There were a few announcements about flight delays and then, half an hour after we entered the fast pass line, we were all moved over to Concourse 1. We finally got on the ride 40 minutes after we entered the queue, which was only 10 minutes less than the time posted for the standby line!

After Soarin' we sat in Sunshine Seasons with a coke each then, as neither of us could face any more wandering, we made our way back to BWV for an afternoon rest and I took a few photos of the lobby.

We were back out again just before 6:00 and went round to Morocco in EPCOT where we both had a kefta pocket (seasoned ground beef in pitta bread) which was kind of like a burger in a pitta.

From there we went to a nearby Festival shop kiosk where I got a t-shirt and a pin.

Then we went back to the Boardwalk where Dad had a corn dog and fries and I had a hot dog and fries, which we ate on the Boardwalk overlooking the Yacht Club - joined by a couple of guests.

Our balcony is the one at top right without the canopy.

Once we had finished eating we stopped off at one of the shops where I got a Boardwalk print.

Then at about 8:00 we went back to the room to have a beer and wait for Illuminations to start.

We were in bed by our normal time ready for a general 'mop up' day tomorrow.

Day 14

Staying at the Boardwalk certainly has its advantages--walking distance to two parks and the boardwalk to relax. Look how much fun you had and you were always only minutes from home at any point. Good job.

It looks amazing - the Boardwalk that is :)

Again, stunning piccies. We didn't do the Land in the day this year, which from a photographic perspective was a bit stupid. After looking at your stunning pictures I now really regret that we didn't go back and do it the next morning. (DD had asked to but I was rushing her to be at the World Showcase by 11 :headache:)

That wasn't a bad return time for Soarin if you only got to the park after 10 am

David - have to know if you and your Dad found it comical that the "country" of Hawaii had a kiosk. We had a good laugh about that as we were strolling around WS, looking at the menus on offer from each country and then the next kiosk is from "Hawaii".

Loving your TR, by the way!

Thanks again. Yes, I was quite surprised how close the return time was considering the time we got there.

I hadn't really thought of it before. Geography has never really been my strong point and, although I KNOW Hawaii is a state (honestly, I do) I always think of it as a country.

Well, then I'll bet you'd both have been confused if you'd come across the kiosk for the country of "Oklahoma" in 2007. It was the centennial of our state and WDW extended the courtesy to us. Hawaii became a state in 1959, so celebrated their bi-centennial year before last. Maybe this was as soon as they could be worked into the schedule. Sharon, did they have a dish made with Spam--very big in the islands, yes?

Oh I love the Food and Wine at Epcot, really stunning pics today as well:goodvibes:goodvibes
