Hey everyone! I started making my mickey fan programs, and had a few questions for others that made them. After you cut out the two mickey head patterns (the one mickey head that will be the front, which will have the monogram/name design and the other mickey head that displays all the information about the ceremony), what did you use to make these two sides stick together? Then, when you insert the fan inbetween the front and back of the progrm, how did you get the it to say without falling out? Lastly, what type of paper did you use for the fans, card stock? Thank you so much everyone! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't bother to make them. Shelley from Impressions started them and is really reallly good. I would just order them from her - its so much easier. She also can add these really awesome crystal buckles that Melissa did for hers. If you want to see pictures check out her trip report.

The programs from Shelley are grossly overpriced. It would cost $200 to have 14 fans made. So if you are pressed for cash I see nothing wrong with doing them yourself.

Use heavy-duty dry scrapbook tape to hold the two sides together.

How did you cut the circles out straight? I am having a very difficult time with the circle cutters.

I haven't started cutting mine out yet...I just finished typing all the wording. I bought the circle cutter last weekend and tried it. You are definitately right, the circle cutter is pretty difficult to use. Hopefully, someone sees this thread who made the mickey fans already and can give us some advice. I really love the way the mickey fan look when they are all finished. Hopefully, we can figure out a way to assemble them more efficiently!:goodvibes

If you know someone who scrapbooks and owns a Cricut Expression machine and the Mickey cartridges the machine will cut them for you and they will all be the same size. Just wanted to give that option as well. You can cut all types of paper with them - including card stock and chipboard depending on the blade you have in the machine.

I am making mine.I plan on using cardstock...:goodvibes
Here is my mock up.... It will have multiple pages
