I saw a Mickey Head Christmas wreath that an employee at a local Disney Store had made. She is no longer working there..(can't imagine why?!?) and so I can't ask how she made it. Does anyone know how they are made?? Thanks!

you can buy one large wreath and two smaller wreaths, using floral wire connect the three wreaths in a mickey head shape and decorate how you want :thumbsup2

That is exactly how I made one for my classroom. You can do the same with plastic ornaments, just hot glue them together to have mickey head ornaments to decorate it with.

I made a large "Minnie" wreath for my balcony last year. The entire process was pretty easy, although it was admittedly difficult to find wreaths that made a nicely proportional signature Mickey-head shape (it seemed like the ears were always too big or too small).

I used a lot of floral wire to attach the ears, wound lights throughout the entire wreath, added some clusters of small red ornaments, and a giant "Minnie bow" on top. I also experimented with a Mickey bow tie, but Minnie won out!

So cute! I've looked at every Michael's, Target, and Hobby Lobby and can't find small wreaths! :sad1:. I so badly want to do this !

My non-creative mind would have never thought of this! But next trip to the city and I am going to look for large and small wreaths, would love to do a Minnie one!!

Picked up a wreath at Walmart, and then I just used wire coat hangers for the ears, wrapped them in artificial garland, attached wth wire that DH had in his tool box, added the lights, and voila!!

Mickey wreath!!

HTH

brilliant! Thank you!!!

I've read that the ratio of his head to his ears is 5:3. So if you got a 10" wreath for his head, you'd need 6" wreaths for his ears.

Other than that, I have nothing else to add ...
