Mickey Head - backs

Hi - we are going in July so I've been watching ebay and have purchased some pins for my DGD 8 to trade.

The first 2 I got are not marked Disney so I know I can't trade them.

I got 12 in from another seller yesterday, and they are stamped with the official Disney on the back - however the pin back is a black mickey head. Please tell me these are ok to trade. :thewave:

Yes, these are now the pin backs Disney is using (for the past at least 2 - 3 years). Actually, alot of the CM's will let you keep your back if theirs are the old gold tone ones. They now sell packages of Mickey Pin Backs that I think are all different Mickey shapes. Happy trading.

Yes you can buy just the backs. I think there are about 12 in a plastic bag. I know the bag sells for $1.95.

Some very early pins and pins from Europe were not marked but they are very tradable.

They are a 1 a Beauty and the Second a Beast - pretty sure both are head shots, back is just brown, no markings. They do feel like enamel or metal a hard texture. I'll try to look them up later at pinpics once my DGD goes home, these are a surprise for her.

There is also a locking pinback available now. It takes the form of a small brass barrel with an Allen screw in the side which tightens onto the pin shaft. An Allen key comes with it. Cost is $8.50 for 12 but you're guaranteed not to lose any pins or pinbacks. My DD lost two pinbacks in as many days just through running while wearing her lanyard but none since we put the locking backs on. A sound investment even if it seems a little pricey!!

ok it's Beast's head pinpic # 3891 and Belle holding flowers pinpic #2457 - we can't see any indication on the back, however Belle does have a faded red line at across the back.
