How bad is it on a crowded day going up the ramp at the parking garage with a stick shift? Guess I could wait at the bottom until clear at the top and ignore the honking horns behind me!

I'd have to imagine it's not a problem - surely you're not the only one with a standard! Do you have a problem in any other parking structures? If not, I don't think you would at DL, it's nothing out of the ordinary.

I've never been in any other parking garage with that long of a ramp and a line of cars. Most garages around here don't have ramps. Instead, each level has a slight uphill such that you drive in a continual spiral to each level. Disney's is one long somewhat steep ramp from the ground level up several floors.

Hmm. I drive an auto, so I can't relate, but my husband drives a stick and if it was difficult, he never said anything about it (he drove the last time I was there). Like I said you're surely not the only one to go to DL with a standard so it can't be that bad. It also depends on what time you get there. If you get there early enough, heck you could even be on the ground level. I have been there many times and only had to go up the BIG ramp all the way once. Every other time I'm either on the ground or only have to go up a floor or two.

well, if you mention to the parking attendent they may just let you park in Chip n Dale lot... im sure its no problem at all.

you shouldn't have any problems at all....when we've parked there the traffic has moved well up the ramps. And honestly, if you're not comfortable driving in the parking structure why drive a stick at all? kwim? :)

I can't tell you from first hand experience at the DisneyLand parking lot. I do goto Universal Orlando regularly and I have a stick and never had a problem. Our structures are around 4-6 stories.
