mickey fabric

Does anyone know where to get Mickey mouse fabric that would be suitable for making a vest for a suit with?
DH and I are going on a 7 night cruise and I thought that it would be a neat thing to have on the semi-formal/formal nights to go with his suit/tux....
I have seen patterns but am having a harder time with the fabric.

I don't know how much fabric you need, but check out ebay - search for "Disney Fabric". There were over 300 hits when I checked, so maybe you'll find something there you can use.

Thanks for the suggestion!! I checked out e-bay and while they had a lot of fabric, none of it was really what you would use to make a vest to go with a mans suit.
Any other suggestions???

Check Walmart or Joanne's ... I know they usually have Disney fabric of some type...

For our wedding (almost 6 years ago) hubby had a Mickey Mouse vest for his tux. It was black, white and red. Maybe you could buy one through a tux company, or rent one???

Hi,

When we were preparing to cruise last year I was able to buy a beautiful silver and black cummberbund (he isn't a vest guy) and bow tie set from "tuxman". I hooked up with him via eBay. So you might try searching there.

The other idea is to search the internet (start with google) for Disney fabric. It will pop up eBay but you should also get some hits to online fabric outlets. I am a costumer for local theater and sometimes I need to find unusual fabrics, patterns, trim and have found this to be a pretty good way to look.

thanks for all the great suggestions!! Where we live there is not much call for mickey mouse formal wear, so our local tux shops don't carry anything.... So I looked on e-bay for a vest and the "tuxman" has one that is really cute for sale. I had my friend put in a bid for me! I hope it works out!!!
