Mickey (Disney) Paint Samples

I remember reading something about the Mickey paint samples you can get in Home Depot. What is it people do with them and what particular color do they have to be?? My husband picked up some but I'm thinking they had to be a mint green color. These are other Disney colors. Please tell me more.

I usually get the brightest lime green they have. The color of this guy!

I've seen people make countdown calendars with the multi colored chips - they may put a bit of Disney Trivia under a paint chip - and number the chips - and take one chip off each day....

the Lime Green Mickey people cut out the brown part - and laminate it - some put their Disboard name on it and then clip it to their bag, or strollers - or even on their doors...

I will spot a lime green Mickey head on someone - and then say "disboards?" sometimes I get the strangest looks!! (once the person said they were holding the travel bag for their mom!!)

When we went there were several shades of "lime" green. I had been frequenting the DL board at the time, and they advised me to get "Alien Green". Hope that helps!

I have mine on my camera case, and I've had people notice it and knew what it was there for. I use the Alien green paint sample from Home Depot. Mostly people have noticed it and struck up a conversation with me on the Disney busses.

when we went 2 years ago, being a dis dad, I got about 60 of the paint samples of various colors, had them lamintated, punched holes in them and made necklaces for our 2 boys to give out. We came home with 0 they really enjoyed spreading the disney joy to other kids.

I wear mine as a pin. I have "DVC" "DIS" and dianeschlicht on it. No one ever asks me about it though!

I never thought to put my screenname on it! But I HAVE had people stop me, though.

I put mine on my backpack and tote bag.

People just aren't looking at things hanging from bags while at a Disney park...I've ran into people I know from the boards (apart from the ladies trip where it was on purpose, of course!) but only one time was it because of the Lime Green Mickey Head.


The official Dis color is the Alien Green, by the way; they don't have a "lime green".

And it's Behr paint, so you look for both Behr and Disney when at the paint section in Home Depot.

I cut them off the backing & use them when we decorate our door on our DCL's. I use black, red, yellow and this color.
