Hi , hopefully somebody can help me. My wife wants to crochet a blanket for my son, she is looking for a pattern with Mickey. Can't seem to find anything in the stores or online. I figured I ask here for some help for her.

Thanks in advance

Hi

I crochet and some times I take patterns from counted cross stich pictures. Maybe she can get a pattern of Mickey's head and play with that. I cross stitches a mickey head on my christmas tree skirt a few years back. I think I googled it.

Hope that helps. I love to crochet and do it all the time.

I know there are a few out there, but they may be out of print--you might want to check out ebay. Most of the ones I have seen are tapestry crochet with duplicate stitching/embroidery...so the cross stitch idea would work great if you can't find an "official" pattern.

I just did a quick search and found this one. Looks like it makes a small Mickey head. It doesn't sound like it's Exactly what she's looking for, but she could always make a square, make these, and then sew them onto the square... She could make then bigger by using a bigger hook too.

Instructions.Things You'll Need:
•Crochet hook F
•worst weight yarn(whatever color you desire)
Step 1
Before you start crocheting, decide what color yarn your going to use to make this mouse head. for the one pictured above I used worst weight yarn and crochet hook F. But depending on the size you want your mouse head to be any size yarn or hook can be used.

Step 2
Chain 4 join in fourth chain to form a ring

Step 3
Chain 3 make 11dc in the ring join with slst in the top of the beginning chain 3. this will be the head

Step 4
Chain 1sc 5hdc 1sc in the same stitch as the slst. slst in the top of the next dc. 1sc 5hdc 1sc in the top of the next dc

Step 5
fasten off and weave the yarn into the stitches
.Tips & Warnings
The best way to get the size mouse head that you are trying to create make a couple of them using different size hooks and yarn types. A bow can be added to give it a girlie look. This pattern is not to be sold, But items that you make from this pattern are your property.

Thanks everyone, forgot about the cross-stitch idea. She crocheted a huge white blanket years ago with a Pooh crost-stitched into it from pattern book. I searched the company but they are out of print. Ebay will be the next place to look.

Check out Ravelry. Google it as I don't have enough posts to post the link!
