Mickey Costume

My family and I are going to Disney in August and will be attending the Princess & Pirate Party. My son would like to dress up as Mickey but we are having a hard time finding a costume for him. Since we are going in August i wouldn't want him to wear long sleeves and pants. Does anybody have any idea on what to do?

We are going on ds5 wish trip in Sep. We're hoping for the 1st week because we would be there for the last day of the party on our 1st day. My son wants a Mickey costume to wear when he eats dinner with Mickey. That was his wish. So I am having one made. I'm using thinner material than the store bought ones are made of and we are making short sleeves. He can wear the gloves and take them off when he's hot. Also I will probably have the pants made short length, but then again my son wears leg braces so I'm not planning on putting long pants on him at all. The braces are hot enough!!!
Please post if you find something better to use. I'm not having it made real soon just in case I find something better!!!

Have you tried looking on Annie's costumes? They sell licensed Disney costumes. You could always hem the pants into shorts and wear a short sleeved shirt.

Not sure of age of your DS but Disney Shopping.com has 2 Mickey costumes on sale in the outllet section. The first is for infants 3 months to 24 months and then there is one for size XXS (2-3 years) as well. They are $9.99 and $14.99 respectively and I am sure they could be altered for August heat. Hope this helps someone! We went to the P & P Party in August and we LOVED it! Have a magical time

You could do something simple like a t-shirt, red shorts w/a tail, the big white gloves (they sell in the park) and a classic mouseears hat....you could even do yellow crocs for mickey shoes!! It is brutally hot in August as well as humid, so keep that in mind.

I agree! My DH is pretty good, but pantyhose is probably where he would draw the line. You have a good man marlynnp!
