Thought all my fellow illlinois disers would at least like to see this just to take there little ones to get a mini disney fix with the characters. See you there wearing the dis green :cool1:

popcorn:: :scared1:

This would be worth a short drive to check out....

Now all we need up this way is a World of Disney.:thumbsup2

thank you for posting this! I shop at this mall all the time and I've seen them building this and was wondering what "Doorway to Disney" was.

Not sure why, but we actually have a Disney store here in Champaign.

A Disney Store is not the same as a World of Disney, sadly. Disney Stores are owned by The Children's Place. World of Disney is owned by Disney, and as far as I know there are only three of those: NYC (the 5th Ave store only, and it is huge!) and Downtown Disney at Disney World and Disneyland. I don't know if there are any of them at the parks outside of the US.

There's a big difference in merchandise sold at the two stores too. World of Disney sells park merchandise, and the one in NYC has it's own exclusives, like Minnie as the Statue of Liberty and its own pins you can only get at that location. Also, at World of Disney stores, your AP gets you a 10% discount and they have passholder exclusive pins just like the resorts do. Disney Stores do not give passholders any discounts (because they are not owned by Disney) and do not sell park merchandise (again, because they are not owned by Disney). :goodvibes

Personally I think the Mall of America would be a perfect place for a World of Disney Store! :)

We would totally go but are having my DS's 1 year old b-day party at 1:00 and I don't think we would make it. Aren't they just trying to sell DVC's though?????

Hey you Minnesotans,
Did you know that after peanuts dumped camp snoopy that disney was in talks to take over the park at moa along with universal and nickalodian. Obviously Nick won, but I sure was hoping for Disney, as well as the CMs at the MOA TDS - they would have become disney owned again had disney taken over the park at moa.

Maybe Nicks contract is only for a year... we can hope.

Anything is possible with the expansions happening at the MOA. We can all hope!
