Mickey Check Substitutions?

Hey guys. Tried doing a little research on the web, and kept seeing conflicting info..so, coming to the gurus for the goods.

Was looking at some of the kids menus and noticing that some of the mickey's check meals would be something that would appeal to my kiddo more than the regular offering. That being said, dunno if I can sell him on apples for the desserts every time and some of the more eclectic sides. Was wondering if anyone knew how strict they are about the substitutions with these meals. I've seen everything from it''ll be fine to no subs. As long as it was still off the kids menu, is it possible to sub a kid's dessert for the apple slices...or a kid's regular drink for the milk or water? Thanks all

absolutely no trouble.

The "without substitutions" line on the menu refers to fitting into mickey check nutritional guidelines ONLY. My son was offered any side and any dessert when he got grilled chicken or steak off of the mickey check menu. For example he got the steak off the mickey check meal at BoG and got a sub of fries with aioli and got to have the grey stuff for dessert. They subbed adult sides for him with adult meals also with no problem. He does not do quinoa or ancient grains or any of that jazz.

Be aware that sometimes mickey check meals can also be quite small in portions, also to fit into the nutritional guidelines (although his steak at BoG was a nice big portion, maybe because the sides were already subbed out? not sure)

yeah they will be fine. Mine was 9 and almost as tall as I am so by that age it was getting small! Enjoy while he is so little Mine just turned 10 6 weeks ago and is now a disney adult BOOO
