Mickey character bfast without ADR

We are going to Disney the first part of Thanksgiving week. Taking our 18month old DD who LOVES Mickey Mouse. We were hoping to take her to a Character B-Fast with Mickey. Our only choice is Chef Mickey at Contemp. and Donalds at AK, correct??

Since we planned this trip recently, all the ADRs are booked for Nov 22-25 My question is has anybody tried to walk-up to either place- any luck?? We are doing a non park day on the 24th and wouldn't mind walking around Contemp. for an hour if we need to wait... Or the day we go to AK we could just skip breakfast and hope for the best. Which would you pick (we may do both)??? DO you think it is worth it??

From previous threads it seems like it might be pointless, but I have to imagine that not everybody that makes ADR actually goes I would imagine at least 10% of ADR are no shows. Do u think Disney accounts for no-shows when deciding number of ADRs???

cape may cafe is a character breakfast. I think mickey is there. It is little less popular so you may want to try it.

I think your chance is slim to none. I do think Disney accounts for no shows. I personally would not bother, that is a VERY busy time of year

ohana breakfast is character with mickey and lilo and stitch. dinner at garden grill I think has mickey. Just a couple more that I thought of. Aslo walk ups for chefmickey are slim to none. I would keep callling and checking online reservations. Be flexible with your times. good luck and have fun.

Thanks, per www.allears.net it looks like all her favorites, But Mickey are at Cape May (Goofy, minnie, and Donald). Has anyone been recently??

We were at Cape May in Feb and 1 other time before that and Mickey wasn't there. Hope you can get to eat with Mickey

Cape May is Minnie, Donald and Goofy ... but we did see lots of families getting walkups there when we were there for breakfast on September 13.

We have actually gone to the Contemporary first thing in the morning and been able to get in (Chef Mickey's). We were staying there, so that may've made a difference but I don't know why it would have. It was at Thanksgiving, too. And, yes, they were booked. However, at the first morning times, sometimes people decide it isn't so easy to get up so early afterall. If you show up at 7:00, they may work you in.

We were at Cape May last week. Mickey was not there. It was Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. I would say your chances of getting a walk up at any character meal with Mickey is alomst 0. I would advise you to call the dining line every day when you're there to see if you can happen upon a cancellation.

Editing to add that Mickey was at 'Ohana along with Lilo, Stitch, and Pluto.
