mickey bbq or hoop de doo

With kids dd7, dd4, dd1.5......do you think either of these would be fun and keep their attention?

I have taken kids from 5 to 15 to the Hoop de doo and all have had a great time. What time of the year are you going? I ask because the Bbq is outdoors and the HDD is inside with ac. I have not done the bbq but I have seen on this board some people stating its a mad house to get to see Mickey and friends. Hope this helps.

We've done them both. I'd definately do HDDMV and not the BBQ. The BBQ was hot hot hot in late September, and the mosquitos nearly carried us away. The food was mediocre at best and my children were nearly trampled trying to dance with Minnie and Mickey. In all my disney trips this is the only thing I can really complain about. We had a delightful time at the hoop de doo. It's a little hokey, but still a great time. my children were 3 and 6 at the time and loved it.

Hoop Dee Doo Revue! It's fabulous! DBF and I had an awesome time and we were laughing so hard we were almost crying.

I second what sarahandhannahsmom said about the BBQ - it's realy one of the few things I would complain about at Disney. The BBQ was one of the only bad things we've ever done at Disney. The food really wasn't good. The characters were hard to see, let alone interact with (scores of people crowding around them -- lines to see Mickey longer here than in the parks )

As for the HDDR - I have only heard great things about that.

Me too. We went to BBQ last July. I didn't like one thing about it. That was the only disapointment of our vacation. Have fun!

I definately agree with sarah and hannahs mom. The BBQ was chaos at it worst and the food was swimming in grease
