Mickey At DL

So, we are taking our first trip to DL in October. I remember reading somewhere that Mickey does meet and greets at (or around his house) at DL. And that sometimes he is dressed differently -- as a band leader, steamboat Willie, etc.

Anyone able to tell me when he is dressed like what? We are used to the tuxedo version and would like to see a different costume.

The last time we did the Mickey's house walkthrough, he was dressed in his sorcerer costume.

Well, I have noticed that people are let through to see Mickey (you go through the house, which is basically one big line, and then are held in the "movie room" until a CM lets small groups through a door) far faster than a "mortal mouse" could see each group. So there's something interesting going on there. And I have a feeling that Mickey changes costumes and rooms so quickly that it's possible one group could be let into a room on the left, and perhaps see Sorcerer Mickey, and the next group could be let into a room on the right and see Steamboat.

If you know what I mean.

And I've wondered, if a group had a preference, if telling them CM that they would absolutely LOVE to see Mickey in a certain persona would let the CM hold them back until they knew that Mickey would be in that certain outfit, and the group could be let through for that certain one.

It's worth a shot.

What are the different outfits that he has appeared in?

Steamboat Willie, Through the Mirror, The Band Concert, an The Sorcerer's Apprentice. It seems to me that Sorcerer's Apprentice is the most popular for them to have "open."

There are 4 different rooms, 4 different Mickeys. Not all rooms are open at the same time. It is the luck of the draw which room you get. You might have luck asking the CM which rooms are open and make a request.

That is interesting - I never knew there was more than one room. Fun random fact!

Sorcerer Mickey is also at DCA, we have seen him at the Animation Academy.

You're right. After he's in "Drawn to the Magic" show Mickey is available immediately after the show at the stage. Sometimes they will also go into the Animaition Academy (not now, while the street is blocked)

Here he was in Jan. with DD10 after the show to do a Meet 'n Greet (Woody and Cinderella too. (she also got to go up on stage)

Notice that when he's at DCA he is wearing his hat, but not when he's in his movie barn.

When Mickey is Steamboat Willie he's all in Black and White. Pretty Cool.

Based on your signature it looks like you may be there during Halloweentime. If so, you can see Mickey (and his friends) in costume. Look for them in Town Square.
