Mickey and the bear

Can someone inform me about the bear I see with mickey now. I saw the bear just as a pin then I saw mickey holding the bear on another pin. And then today I'm at the disney store and I see the bear stuffed sitting on the shelves. And I'm not talking about the stuffed brother bears. They have some of those also.

I'm loving some of the new stuff at the disney store. They had some new coffee mugs and throws.

I think what you're talking about is Mickey Mouse's bear. He originally started at the Once Upon a Toy Store in DTD a few years back and now they have him in almost every color, in beanies, and on pins. If you see one of these bears, pick him up and read the tag attached to him - there's the story of how he became Mickey's bear. (You'll know its him if his face colorations are in the shape of a MM icon, and he's got the icon shape on his paws and butt.) He's a cutie, I've got one myself

My son bought one of these for his girlfriend on our recent trip. The story in the book attached to him is very cute. It's all about how Mickey was all alone and the bear was sent to keep him company and how they became the best of friends. I love the little Mickey on his butt!

Thanks for the input. I'll be looking for the story. But from what you all have told me so far it sounds so sweet. I know right now I'll have to be getting the one from the Disney store for sure.
