Hello: Has anyone experienced motion sickness on mickey and minnies runaway coaster due to it being 3 D? My daughter gets migraine headaches and motion sickness very easy so we are just wondering if she should try it or not.

Not sure if this matters, but its not 3D like where you need To wear 3D glasses.
i know for some people that makes a big difference

The ride is not traditional 3D. You do not wear glasses and nothing will be coming at you as in 3D productions. There are some effects that appear to add some depth but that is all.

I rode the Mickey and Minnie runaway railway and I have motion sicknes. When I start seeing the screen move I close my eyes and I’m ok. I love that ride.

if you have ever rode TSM the movement is similar to when you are going from game to game on TSM. If your daughter is alright with TSM, AS2 she'll be fine

My concern is that in TSM, the rider is an active participant. For example, the motion sickness sufferer can drive a vehicle on winding mountain roads, but they are as sick as a dog when they are a passive passenger. I can ride TSM and Buzz until the cows come home, but other screen based rides where I am just watching and not participating in the action are out. I have read reports of some people having motion sickness on this ride so as a migraineur and motion sickness sufferer, I am leery. OP, I agree with the previous poster who also has motion sickness. Make sure she closes her eyes or focuses on a point on the screen without movement if she starts to feel queasy. I also like to test out new rides at the end of the day so I can “sleep off” motion sickness or migraines induced by a ride.

You're not participating in anything while the vehicle is moving from game to game, when it's spinning and whipping from side to side. That's the type of movement mmrr has

But your brain is still anticipating the next target during TSM. Same concept with driving on mountain roads and even really bumpy mountain roads. What you are talking about is the actual motion from the cars during the transitions, which would cause me to be really ill if I was not totally engaged in the game and trying to beat the tar out of my husband. I am more concerned about the simulation of motion from the screens when passive, especially since her daughter gets migraines. There is always the potential of motion sickness in those susceptible when there is a mismatch between visual input and what the vestibular system senses.

OP, I have both migraines and motion sickness. It is interesting, but the two often go hand and hand. It hasn’t stopped me from trying all the rides that I have wanted to try, even though there are a good number that are one and done. I bring my migraine medication to the park, which is just Motrin these days, and tackle any possible culprits at the end of the day. Report back how she does!
