Mickey and Me at Club 33

The member that invited us had three large mugs waiting for us at our table. So I was quite happy about that, I know they are pricey! But we've also bought a wine glass, key chain, oh and of course those Club 33 Mickey ears! :) I almost jumped for joy when they had them on our last visit. We don't use any of these items, they are all being kept as precious collectibles!

We always have the steak, really tender and good!

I just today learned that I might possibly get to eat at Club 33, thanks to a wonderful individual I am extremely happy to know. I never thought I would have a chance to see this place so never give up the dream! I will definately be eating light so I can maximize my efforts at the dessert table.

Are they tall and black with a gold 33 emblem?

Hehe, yep, that's the one!

It didn't even occur to me that this mug could be the start of a whole Disney mug collection! I'll have to be very careful though to not overdo it or else I'll be completely overrun with Disney mugs. You should see my Disney antenna ball collection it's ridiculously big. There increase in price certainly slowed me down though.

My mug collection started as a teen. I saw them at the Disney Stores for each animated movie that I loved and thought they would be fun to have. Since they were only about $7, I could afford to add 1 to my collection every time a new movie came out.

When I got my first apartment, I had about 10 mugs. I could not bring myself to use them so I turned them into a little displayed. Today, I have upwards of 40. One at a time, the money has never been missed.

P.S. For those familiar with the much talked about Snowball Effect here on DIS... How about buying 15 of the matching plates while on a trip to DLP? Had to have them... they match the mugs! :upsidedow

I've never been to Club 33 but it seems very similar to Walt's at Disneyland Paris. You don't have to belong to a club to eat at Walt's though. THere is the elevator with the stained glass and lots of Disney history in all the rooms. The one time I was there for lunch we were seated overlooking MainStreet. It was great! The food was good and the restaurant was beautiful. If you can't get in to club33 but you have a chance to get to Disneyland Paris, don't miss Walt's.

I'm pretty sure they modeled Walt's after Club 33. But unfortunately I doubt I ever make it out to Paris. I had greater odds of going to Club 33 then going there. Bummer, I'd love to see it someday!

But I think because it was something Walt made for special guests, decorated by him and his wife, and that it is now so exclusive, that makes it so darn special.

Funny enough, I think that exact point has been discussed here before. Most decided there's a better shot of making it to Paris, than to eat at Club 33, as hard as that may be to believe! :rotfl:

Like other's have said, my chance in getting upstairs to Club 33 is slim to non-exsistant. Thank you for the review, I felt like I was right there!

Thanks for posting all of the food pics (most pictures of Club 33 that are online are of the decor or of people with characters). One of these days I'll get in there (even if I have to get a gig cleaning the carpets in there or date someone who works for a company that has a company membership and can take me there for our one-year anniversary [j/k] ;) ).

The desserts were FANTASMIC! Alone they totally made up for the so-so entrees. I wish there was a way you could just do the dessert bar and totally skip the main course.
Oh, there most certainly is a way! Just don't order the entree! You'll still be charged the minimum but if what you want is dessert, get the dessert. Most would look at the value and say, "huh?", but if you wish to do it, all will still be well with the world.
