Is Mickey and Friends garage open first thing on weekends?

It depends, supposedly both Toy Story and Mickey and Friends open at least 30 minutes prior to park opening, including Magic Mornings.

But based on the expected traffic on that date, you might find that Mickey and Friends is not open, but the Anaheim PD is directing traffic to a different lot to keep the ramps from backing up too much. So either head directly to Toy Story, or be prepared to find Anaheim Finest directing you to somewhere you didn't expect to park at.

I have had luck getting there first thing. There is usually a car line waiting to get it. I've gone 90 minutes after opening thinking I'd avoid and the car lines and been rerouted all the way over to Toy Story.
