Mickey’s Mix Magic Returns on 7/4

As Disneyland park in California welcomes back all guests, the fun starts July 4 with “Mickey’s Mix Magic” presented nightly throughout the summer. State-of-the-art projections, show lighting and lasers will transform Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of “it’s a small world” into a dazzling, family fun dance party that goes sky high with fireworks to celebrate the leader of the club, Mickey Mouse.

If Mickey's Mix Magic returns on a nightly basis, where is the best place to watch it? Does it matter where you are at Main Street, Castle or Small World to see the projections and fireworks?

My preference is small world for the best view of the projections and fireworks. The fireworks are all launched from behind Toontown for this show. There are no castle fireworks.

Perfect, my wife loves the Small World ride and that'd really make her day.

It’s the show they can run even if they can’t launch fireworks due to high winds, it means there is some form of nighttime entertainment every night.

I’m not at all picky about fireworks shows, but I’d heard enough mild disdain towards this show that I was curious as to the reason behind it. Thanks for sharing and giving such a satisfying answer to their reasoning!

That was the big factor behind its original launch. They could have nightly entertainment in the off season without disturbing the neighborhood with fireworks.

Oh I'm not picky and we love Mickey Mix Magic but it doesn't get me in the feels the way some of the others do.

Disneyland Forever, Im looking at you. That would have been the perfect one especially after the long closure.

Almost forgot about Fantasmic!! I wonder when that will get brought back? Since they wiped out social distancing, it seems more likely they would bring this back to start racking in the $$ from the dining packages.

I think it will still be a little bit for that. Like the parades it’s going to require rehearsals etc before it can be brought back. I think they also have been doing work on Tom Sawyers island. I saw green scrims up on Saturday.

Hopefully sooner rather than later! We have a few trips planned in the next few months, so I'm hoping at least by then.

I'm sure we'll hear news like that leak first as they call CMs back/do auditions. Fantasmic! is our favorite!

Fantasmic, requiring live people, may take a while to return, but what about World of Color? That's just technology and equipment. I would LOVE to see World of Color again - last time we were there was during the Great WOC Outage of 2018 so we missed it.

My guess is by mid summer for World of Color.
