Mickey’ Surprise Party at Sea

Has anyone experienced this? I am starting to gather stuff for our cruise on the Fantasy and realized we will have the Surprise Party instead of Pirate Night. Any insight old be helpful.

I just used the Google machine because I was worried about missing Pirate Night (our Fantasy cruise is coming up soon!) and saw that it won't replace Pirate Night - it was described as an afternoon deck party to celebrate Mickey and Minnie's 90th birthdays and they will have ice cream, specialty drinks, etc.

Good to know! All my research was prior to May so no one had yet offered first hand info. I like that it is in addition to pirate night!

When are you sailing? We leave on 8/17.

We did our cruise in June and had both.

It is a deck party in the afternoon. The characters come out sporadically throught the hour. The host helps with various pool games in the Donald pool. Stay on deck 11 to get amazing warm cinnamon pretzels and Mickey bars (the best part of the whole party). The servers come out of cabanas and people will swarm. Also definitely does not replace pirate party.

Also, all of the characters will also be dressed up in the evening in special outfits to do pictures...and there will be props!
