Michigan's Upper Peninsula

Any other DISers from Michigan's Upper Peninsula or Northern Wisconsin? I hear about all the DIS meets that people have in their areas and I'm jealous. Wondering if there are any Disney crazy people in my neck of the woods so that we could meet sometime.

Well, I'm a transplanted Yooper moving from Houghton to Los Angeles back in '83. Fell in love with the original park out here (annual passholder for the past umpteen years it seems like!) and usually go twice maybe 3 times a month. Just joined the DVC so now we're getting to hit both sides of the country!

If there are any DIS meets up your way, know that I'll be there in spirit!

My family and I are from the northern lower peninsula of Michigan. We spend some time in the U.P. during the summer months, as our 13 year old son plays travel baseball! Last June and July we were in Rudyard and Sault St. Marie, Michigan. We live approximately 1 hour south of the Mackinaw Bridge. We were born and raised in Northern Lower Michigan and we absolutely love it here. My husband and I took our 2 kids, ages 13 and 9 to Disney in January of 2005. We are completely hooked. We're planning our trip now for January of 2006. We just can't get back there soon enough!!
