Michaels no long carrying Disney scrapbook items?

I went to Mass over the weekend and opooed into Michaels. I couldn't find any Disney stuff in the scrapbook section so I asked an employee where it was located. She told me Michaels is no longer carrying any Disney scrapbook stuff!!!! is this true or was she incorrect?

Hadn't heard that..but I know the scrapbooking section at our store was everything 50% off... it was nuts... I don't go in unless there is something only Michaels carries as the customer service has gone out the window at our stores... there are other stores whose customer service is excellent....

I'd be curious to hear if anyone else had the answer..

Well, they still have it in Mike's here - I got a bunch last night as a gift. My friend said she bought it there.

Went to the Michael's in West Springfield after dinner last Friday and they had Disney albums, papers there too. They were not on sale either.

Our Michaels had the paper on 50%, no albums either.
the whole dept was a mess, lots of markdowns, stickers and stamps even....wonder if they are getting redy to shrink it?

My store still has lots of Disney stuff. As for there being lots of clearance items and empty spots, that's because the sticker and paper sections are about to be reset with lots of new stuff. I've only seen a little of the new stuff, but I have seen that we have boxes and boxes of it in our back room. I did see some Cars paper that was on the top of one of the boxes so it looks like there will be some new Disney stuff too. My store will begin resetting the area on Sunday and it will take a few days to do. Each store will be doing it at a different time, though, so your store might not necessarily have it reset next week.

To be honest I didn't think the employee knew what she was talking about! I didn't think they were getting rid of all Disney stuff!

Mine still had plenty, they were clearancing some older stuff out last month though. In the past I have bought from Joann.com they have 40%off all scrapbook items and you can get free shipping if you spend s certain amount

I think it depends on the stoor and it's size... Ours in Concord NH cleared out everything Disney-related in terms of stamps, punches, books, and some of the stickers. It was all 50-75% off and it was insane. I was also told by an employee that they were no longer going to carry it.

But I went to one in Mass about a week later and they had a ton of stock and were only moving out the older items. However, that store is bigger and has more foot traffic then our dinky Concord one. The one in Burlington VT also had all the Disney stuff on markdown.

All the ones with Disney stuff on clearance were of similiar size and I know our one in Concord is getting ready for a rather extensive remodel. Perhaps the others are too... Not sure, I haven't been back in awhile.

For the Cricut folks, if you do only a minor amount of digging, a ton of the Disney Cricut cartridges are $25-32 with free shipping. The older Cricut is also on final markdown of $150-$174 with free shipping.

Well actually it depends on store too but i don't think all the michaels stores had stopped keeping disney scrapbook.

Our son-in-law is a store manager and they have LOTS of Disney stuff. He says its hard to keep it in stock it sells so fast. Not sure why some have stopped selling it.!

Just poppping on to ask where in NH you are. I'm in Weare.... a bit southeast of Concord.... about 30 +/- minutes from the Concord Michael's store..........P
