Michaels in GA question

Did they close the Michael's in Duluth GA???
DH and I may be going to Atlanta next week, and if so I would love to show the kids where I worked. It was in the same shopping center as a furniture store, I think Levitz. Of course this was 10 years ago but I was wondering if it was still there. There was also a Sams and Shoe Carnival down the road.

Yes, they have closed that store and moved it up towards the Mall of GA. What part of Atlanta will you be in? I live north of the city.

Yes it closed a few years back. There is now an HH Gregg up the center from where it used to be. Sam's and Shoe Carnival are still there. Where did you live when you worked there? I live in Lilburn and have been in the area my whole life.

bummer Wonder if any of the old employees went with them. Is MJDesign still there? They recruited a bunch of our leads when they first opened.

To bad, I worked there when they moved from the store in the corner of the shopping center to the bigger store. I was pregnant with DS11 when I had to quit, DRs' orders. I had always planned to go back but we moved up here.
I used to work at Shoe Carnival too. Oh how I loathed that job....LOL

The Hobby Lobby that was around the corner just closed.

Sadly everything is moving to the Mall of Georgia area, there is an Archivers up there. The Joann's is still on Pleasent Hill.

Anywho we lived in Lilburn and Loganville. Small world huh!!

My oldest daughter (the one that just got married) lives in Loganville. I'm in Conyers...where it seems like half of the town has no electricity due to last nights storms! I am dreading going into work!!!

By the way, I checked out the Archivers in Kennesaw yesterday and it is really nice, however it is much smaller than the one at the Mall of Georgia. Of course, I still managed to find stuff to buy!

The Hobby Lobby that was around the corner just closed.

The Hobby Lobby moved to State Bridge Rd and 141. My Best Friend and I drove by there yesterday to see what their signs said.

We actually have a nice Hobby Lobby on Rockbridge Rd, in Stone Mountain, that has a GREAT person working the scrapbooking section. If you are ever in that store, her name is Donna. She know that dept like the back of her hand.

By the way, I checked out the Archivers in Kennesaw yesterday and it is really nice, however it is much smaller than the one at the Mall of Georgia. Of course, I still managed to find stuff to buy!

I'm used to the Mall of GA layout, but know so many people that work at the Kennesaw one, (one I used to work with at Memories) I still can't find anything in that store. I live in Dunwoody so I'm directly between the 2 stores.

I am all over the area.

I live in Dunwoody, with my dad. My BF lives in Atlanta.(I'm at his place on the weekends). My grandmother and my mother live in Lawrenceville. My best friend lives in Buford. I crop at Archivers with the 2peas when they go to Buford. Except next month, I'm cropping solo at the 12-hour crop at Buford in August.

I used to work at Memories in Alpharetta before we closed in January. So I would shop in that area.

We used to live past Tara and we have friends that lived in Conyers. Not sure if they still do though.

Is the Joann's closing? There isn't one in the mall of Georgia area, although I've noticed the one one in Snellville has become better then the Gwinnett one. Although the manager isn't very nice at the Snellville one.

The Scrapbook Clearance Center can be hit or miss. I've been to the one @ MofGA once, but I've been to the one in Kennesaw about 5 or 6 times. Most the things they have there are 2 years old, but ocationally they'll get something newer. A couple weeks ago I was able to get a Karen Foster Fold 'N' Go for a friend for 12.50 (I paid 15 for mine at Archiver's) but that's the only new thing I found.

Joann's is not closing that I know of. The Gwinnett Place and Snellville locations are still open. Their paper is on sale a lot-6 for 96 cents.

This is all good to know. My family is in Suwanee and Duluth. I visit at least once a year. I don't have a Hobby Lobby and have been known to bring home lots of stuff (I drive)

The only Hobby Lobby I know of is in Lawrenceville, across from Gwinnett Medical Center. If there is one at the Mall of Georgia, I've missed it. I'm up there once a week, at least.

It's past the mall. If you keep going up 20, it's on the right after you cross over 985 (old Wal-Mart shopping center).

DH ended up going there this week, he is stuck on the tarmac as we speak.

He said sooo much has changed. When he drove in he couldn't even see the Varsity from the highway, traffic was a nightmare, and he didn't recognize much.
He did how ever take a pic of the Shoe Carnival that I worked at in Duluth.
He drove through our old neighborhood in Lilburn and he said not much had changed there (in the city limits) but he never made it out to Loganville. It totally killed me when he called from the Chic-Fil-A drive through, he was totally rubbing it in. And he had planned on eating at Mellow Mushroom but I'm not sure if he made it.
