I am just stunned. I can remember the first time I saw his Thriller video. In my friends basement, we were in awe. And his Black & White video is still one of my favorite music videos ever. Very sad, I hope he has found peace.

You just expressed my exact feelings, I have baby pictures with me on a mic, singing along with the Jackson 5. He is part of the soundtrack of my life, my 9 year old love's his music as well. I know his music will continue on for generations

The one thing I recall the most about Jackson is: My fellow Hoosiers may remember Ryan White. Ryan was a young boy who got AIDS after having a hemophiliac transfusion. Ryan and his family were treated so badly in their hometown that they had to move. But Michael Jackson and Elton John befriended him and his family. To the point the rumor is Michael helped pay for some of his medical bills and Elton was at the hospital when he died.

I think Michael Jackson was an amazing musical talent with a troubled soul. I think he has gone down a destructive path. I pray for his children. I also pray that he has found the peace that it seems he has sought for so many years.

This will be one of those events that we people will say 20 years from where were you when Michael Jackson died.

Ryan White is an amazing way to remember Michael... I did a bunch of projects on Ryan in school (15 years ago) and what Elton and Michael did for him was amazing... Thanks for reminding us of this

Wow, that is sad. A talented performer gone. Makes me think since he is not that much older than I am.

My high school years were filled with his videos and music. I choose to think of him as the handsome young man in the Billie Jean video.

I know he was a villian to many, but I see him as a classic tragic figure. So much fame, money, power, and success, but in the end a very sad and confused person. Very sad.

Itunes is making $$$$ on his records and videos. Hope his children are the ones who benefit from his legacy.

"I just can't stop loving you" is the song my husband and I had played for our "first dance" at our wedding. Michael Jackson will always have a very special place in our hearts.

I am sad to hear that A great Musical Icon is gone. Michael was Big when i was in high school and in my Family. I remember when my Brother and cousins were little they would do the Thriller dance in my Grandmothers Basement. seeing his Videos on MTV and VH1 made the 80's a wonderful Decade. This is soooo sad!!! And SHOCKING!!!!

I remember the Ryan White story very well and my friend told me last night that Ryan White died exactly 20yrs ago to the day yesterday. I don't think he ever found peace, but I do now. He truly was Peter Pan!!!

He will be truly missed and especially for me...because I grew up with him!!! Let's just continue to focus on his music and not necessairly(sp?) on his personal life....
