He had been rushed to the hospital when he stopped breathing, no update yet.

And CNN just updated that he's in a coma.

DH called and said he was in a coma, then I just heard on the radio that he had died.

I was never a huge Michael Jackson fan, but this news makes me sad. :guilty:

Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at 3:15 pacific (6:15 eastern).

Wow. Music will never be the same.

I am heartbroken . Allthough he might have been stange at times he did bring something special to the world. I hope people remember him for the great things he did and not the tabloid stuff.

In High School we saw him. The "Victory Tour" so it was what? 1985?

Talk about a performance you'd never forget.

I got home form work and turned on the TV and they were playing all of his videos. I was jammin and watering the plants, then I heard he had died! I was like WHAT????

And poor Farrah! What a day!

Well, they say celebrities die in threes...

No matter how crazy he got later, I loved him in the Thriller days.

In the past week my dream of wining $10,000,000 from Ed McMahon whilst dancing with Farrah Fawcett to live Michael Jackson music has been shattered.

But all jokes aside, MJ was a great talent and I will be missed. RIP

It was a great show. I was in 6th grade and saw him at Mile High Stadium. I had awesome paresnts to spring for those tickets.:goodvibes I wore my red thriller jacket--DS is so mad at me for selling it in a garage sale when I was a teen and not anticipating having a little MJ fan of my own someday.

It feels really weird knowing he is gone and can never again create amazing music, choreography or videos. :sad2: He was so very talented and did really great things for a lot of years actually.

When I was in high school Jim Henson and Theodore Giesel died close together and I felt like the people who created much of the culture of my childhood were suddenly gone. Now it feels the same but it is the culture of my preteen and up years. Michael's music and videos were such a big part of my life (well ,and the music and videos still are--we play them often enough). Even Captian EO was my favourite part of my first trip to WDW:rolleyes:

OMG! We saw it at Mile High Stadium too! My dad worked for Pepsi at the time, and they sponsored the tour, and since his plant had been the best performing one in the region, we got free tickets. We were in the 11th row. It was awesome.

Pepsi! Oh gosh, remember Michael's wicked Pepsi commercials! ::yes::

Remember the time his hair caught fire from one of the props? :scared: He wasn't hurt, but sheesh!

James' dad used to work for Coke...no wonder we're rivals!

James' Dad was a flavor chemist. He left Coke when they moved to Atlanta. I think he worked for Warner Lambert after that.
