Michael & Craig

I still haven't gotten a chance to start listening to the Connecting with Walt podcasts ... but this made me even more excited for them. I really need to start listening!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... the Connecting with Walt episodes are maybe the best Disney-related podcasts I've ever heard. Peerless in its research, details, and information. It's like a brilliantly written book being poured out into my headphones. Bravo, guys.

I'm saving the January connecting with Walt shows so I can binge listen all at once, but I loved them last quarter.
I think the Disneyland at 60 podcasts were possibly even better laid out though. They seem to tell a continual story, however, like I said I haven't listened to it this month so can't say it's not the same

I am a big fan as well! I really enjoy the Disney history and both Michael and Craig make a great team! I found this last episode to be especially interesting with all the background about how RCID was started, the show had a very documentary-type feel to it.. Even as a former WDWCM I still continue to learn new things about WDW all the time.. Keep it up!

Another lover of the show. Does anyone know if you can get a transcript. I sometimes get lost when listening and can take in more if reading.

Does YouTube offer it?
I feel like I remember Pete saying that it's available on YouTube for those with hearing impairments, so I assume there's subtitles or something that yo can switch on?

I too am a big fan of these shows. I love hearing the history of Disney and all related info. Great job !!

Yep, they do that, I was just hoping for some sort of transcript so I could download them all and revisit them. I want to look into some of the research material they use and since I can't remember what I ate yesterday, I have to go back to the beginning and relisten to them all. Not such a bad thing.

Just a thought - if you e-mail Craig or Michael, they might have another option for you? Maybe, maybe not, but just a thought.

I would say Michael would have his part typed up, but I doubt the banter and Craig's input is scripted

You wrote that you want to look into some of the research materials used. Is there something specific you are wanting to know? I know Michael states at the end of each podcast reference materials.

Nope, that's my problem, I've forgotten so I have to go back and re-listen to all the podcast. It really is more that I'm a reader and pay more attention when I'm reading then I do when I'm listening, which is one of the reasons I never do books on tape. I'm loving the show and know I've missed half of what I've heard just because I wasn't paying attention. Like I said, going back and listening to them all again is not a bad thing and like others have pointed out, I'd miss the back and forth banter if there was a transcript.

Thank you so much for taking the time to let me and Craig know you are enjoying Connecting with Walt! We look forward to bringing it to you each week. Although I do have notes, scripts, and references written out for each episode; they are not formatted properly for releasing. For all you Disney theme park fans, Craig and I have a very special episode for you this week to end our January 2016 season! I hope you enjoy it!

I am another big fan of the Connecting with Walt episodes! I even follow up with the links on the show notes pages. I also tend to "save" the episodes for times when I can really concentrate and enjoy them. You have to pay close attention or you will miss things. Michael and Craig have a really nice rapport between the two of them. Great job, guys!

While listening to the RCID segment of Connecting with Walt I thought the comment about the Poly being originally envisioned as a 12-story building was interesting. We have been to Aulani and Disney did a great job there of making a 12+ story building look right at home. At WDW there wouldn't be any theming issues with a 10+ story building in the current Poly parking lot. Imagine a "stepped" building that is higher towards the MK paring lot and tapers to a lower level as you get to the monorail platform and the Great Ceremonial House.

I'm loving Connecting with Walt as well. Luckily I had saved some episodes so it got me through some of the blizzard shoveling!

My 13-year-old Disney fanatic son is also enjoying them!

Thanks for all the hard work that goes into making them.
