We've got a mouse....and it ain't Mickey!

I have NOT found evidence in the house yet...but I hear it in the walls at night. We live in a condo...and the neighbor hears it too. DH did find a dead one about a month ago behind our enclosed pellet stove. We live in the country, so this is bound to happen...but I thought they would have moved out now that the really bad winter is over.

What is the best way to get rid of them?

I'm trying to avoid having one die in the walls. That happened at work last year.....and it STUNK for WEEEEEEEEKS. Ewwwwww!

Any help appreciated! Thanks!

P.S. I have a 15 yr old kitty who apparently AIN'T doing her job. LOL :teeth: She sleeps all day.

Peanut Butter on a mouse trap. Not too much or it will be able to eat it w/out getting caught. YUCK!
Good luck :D

Peanut butter --- ok ??? Does it matter what kind? All I have is Skippy Reduced Fat creamy. Will that work?

Or do I need Super Chunky?

Don't think so because I've been hearing them longer than it's been raining. But they don't appear to be leaving on their own....so we've got to do something about it.

They just love doing that. Mine live to sleep, and, of course, be fed.

Regular peanut butter should do. Good luck!

LOL, I don't think mice have a preference :D It sounds funny but it does work.

It seems to be the fat content in the peanut butter or cheese that attracts them. (Once my mohter found one in her bottle of oil!) If you don't catch them rather quickly, you might want to get regular instead of reduced fat.

Also, don't be tempted to empty & re-use the trap. The mice carry mites or something that can make you sick. In fact, I always put my hand in a plastic grocery bag to pick up the trap - then turn it inside out.

Good luck!
