As of Tuesday Morning the mic quest is still up and running

This means I blew it big time again (after blowing Friday's quest and getting no hat). This time, I had just finished my 20,000 point jungle cruise when my DD shrieked from the other room that she was never going to get to the pirate game on the HSM quest in time. It was 9:48 p.m. and she was just getting to the golden mickeys in the Mark Twain room. I told her I would open a pirate game and hold it for her.

I open a level one game but do not start (she's a level one player still), and wait. The "VMK closed in ten minutes" warning comes on and she is on item number 34/40, about to cry. I told her to finish the next three questions and join my in the pirates game lobby. She does, and joins my game, thrilled that she'll finish HSM quest in time, which she does (as do the two other players that joined after 9:50 and were thrilled to find an open game).

After I start the game and it gets under way, I click to exit the game and resume my baseball shoes quest, which I had 7 minutes to finish and nothing time-consuming except play the song.

I entered an empty music room to wrap it up. And crashed.

No baseball shoes for me. I have a jersey and pants, but no hat or shoes.

Now it turns out she could have finished HSM today. Arg!

So what are shoes and hats trading for?

They have also lowered the number of ghosts needed to 25 for the microphone quest. This means if you did complete it yesterday with 50 ghosts, you can do it again today.

Funny you should say that I have extras of each. But value is only relative to the person desiring the item. If you wish to offer an NPC pin, well you might not get what you desire or you might offer Inferno and people will come out of the woodwork to either tell you how silly you might be or how they would like to "steal" that offer. So I guess the question on value is what do you think it's worth offer those items and see if you get it. For every offer out there someone is probably willing to take it. You just try and be on the right end of the offer.

So that being said I have extras... Deal or No Deal?

Well, if I HAD an extra pair (which I dont because I was too busy trying to catch a ridiculous 50 ghosts for a quest that is still around and easier today), I would say the cost for a parent who lots out to help their kid would be a friend request.

I hope someone out there with an extra pair, finds you and agrees with me.

Smart move on pirates game - I will have to remember that! Got to pirates with 9 minutes - not as clever as you were. I bet your daughter's smile is worth it!

Well after further thought and review the value of these items has come to light. They are worth as much as a Father is willing to do for their child and it sounds like you did everything you could. That being said I would like to offer up a pair of Shoes.

I am not sure what happened on Friday to stop you from getting a hat, but if it's going to your daughter I would like to offer a hat as well. Please let me know if you still desire these items for you and your daughter.

From another father of a child who has yet todiscover the joys of VMK but knows the love of a Disney Princess and Mouse.

My loss of a hat was my own error and for my own account. And do not get me wrong, I don't regret what I did, nor pity myself for the fact that I lost out on the shoes to gain my DD the mic. I was only disappointed that I made this silly little sacrifice under the erroneous belief that it was the only way to get her the mic. Having said that, if you are willing to part with a pair of shoes, I would gladly trade you a microphone for them, as I can apparently acquire another of them. PM me if you can.
