Miami-Orlando

I am looking at doing a split venue trip next year, part in WDW and part in Miami, i was wondering if anybody can give me some advice as to how easy it is to get between these two cities using public transport and roughly what kind of costs are involved.

BTW. I'm english so i know very little about US transport infrastructure.

We have taken Amtrak many times to get from Orland to Miami or vice versa. Though the Amtrak station is probably more convenient from WDW.

I find the train ride quite relaxing and it's something different than having to fly.
